HOW TO FEEL CHILD-LIKE PEACE
Do you work in a toxic environment? Do allow worry, stress, or mulling over what others say or do, over and over, all day long?
God says tomorrow has enough worries of its own. Today is important enough to let go of all anxiety, all restless legs, all nail biting or stress breathing. Nearly every single client I see comes in with HIGH anxiety, not just anxiety. They’ll tell me they’re here because of not knowing their purpose, struggling with relationship issues, etc, but what they don’t know is that anxiety is what really brought them here.
Anxiety becomes a habit. High anxiety comes into play when we don’t trust God, ourselves or those around us. It comes into play when we try to protect ourselves through controlling others. Anxiety becomes a huge blind spot that manifest in our bodies in different ways;
restless leg syndrome (RLS)
nail biting, hair twirling, ticks
anger, perfectionism, control
panic attacks, stress, emotional breakdowns
obsessing, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
hoarding and many more diseases that manifest physically & mentally
Toxic environments are on the rise so that means our client base of anxious people is also increasing. “When emotion goes up, intelligence goes down.” It’s important to keep this in mind.
So what does it take to eliminate anxiety in you?
Christ says people will hate us for trusting Him. We will be persecuted for our relationship with him. This is bound to increase anxiety.
John 4:16-18 says: “There is no fear in love. Perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
We're to LOVE. We’re asked to not put fear before God. We’re created to live as salt of the earth. If we live anxiously or try to control others, we'll not be able to live free, or represent Jesus well.
I once heard a Pastor say that we are riddled with anxiety because we want to be God. I never would have looked at things that way, but when I was a perfectionist I allowed stress and anxiety to ruin my day and everyone around me who wasn’t perfect. When I learned to let go of control, and let people be themselves, it freed my spirit to let others be who they are and allowed me to be at peace with me. Does that makes sense?
Did you know that when you are stressed, the emotion center of your brain begins to go haywire? While we often believe we "can't" control our emotions, Scripture says that unless we actually DO, we'll not be able to make wise decisions.
I’ve created an important exercise for you called the "A.R.S.", which stands for, Anxiety Release Session. I was taught this by the Holy Spirit during a night when my body was filled with tension after 9 brain seizures in one day. I heard the Spirit whisper, “BREATHE”.
What I was taught that night, I now use with most of my clients to bring their anxiety level from a 10, down to a level of 0. This Anxiety Release Session is simple and takes just a few minutes of time. You can do this anywhere at any time without anyone ever knowing it.
Stay open minded, practice it for a few minutes every single day and watch what happens. Self control and a sound mind is what you're after.
